Following its highly successful 10th staging last November, the Philippine Web Awards (PWA) is once again embarking on yet another annual search for the best Filipino-owned and developed web sites and is now accepting nominations for this year's entries. The nomination period for the 11th Philippine Web Awards will officially run from May 20 to August 20. In addition to the usual 21 categories that cover Arts & Portfolio, Corporate, E-Commerce, News & Media, and Personal sites. The 11th PWA will also usher in a new category for web sites designed by students. Student winners will be chosen in our subcategories: Private High School, Government High School, Private College, and Government College.
This latest addition aims to recognize rising Filipino talents and help further raise IT awareness and promote web design and development among the youth.
Meanwhile, under the continuing partnership between the PWA and the Commission on Information and Communications Technology/ National Computer Center, Outstanding local government unit websites will also be honored under three subcategories: Best Provincial, Best Municipality, and Best City.
